The Steering Board Meeting of the HFCC/ASBU was held on 2 June 2006. The preparation of the next regular conference that has been scheduled for the period from 28 August to 1 September 2006 was high on its agenda. Confirmation has now been received from the ERT colleagues in regard to the venue for the B06 co-ordination conferencere for the B06 season: They have reached an agreement with the Divani Apollon Palace & Spa hotel in one of the suburbs of Athens near the sea and they have chosen it as a conference venue and for accommodation purposes. The Divani Apollon Palace offers single rooms for 160 EUR/night and double rooms for 170 EUR/night. The hotel is ready to provide Conference services and amenities on condition that the participants book at least 60 rooms there. There is another "Amarilia Hotel" in the vicinity available at 70 EUR/night for single and 90 EUR for double rooms.

[31 July]: The Conference is held during the peak tourist season in Greece. Unfortunately, we have been just informed by the colleagues from the International Department of the ERT that this has resulted in problems with hotel reservations. The ERT colleagues told us that they have already tried to get in touch with colleagues who have failed to obtain hotel reservations. They have not been always successful. We have now collated with them a list containing ALL confirmed hotel bookings.
Please kindly check on your name on the list here. According to the ERT colleagues those not on the list should try the following:
- Contact DIRECTLY the Amarilia hotel for accomodation on the 30th, 31st August and 1st September. (unfortunately, Amarilia has no longer availability on the 28th and 29th of August).

- Contact DIRECTLY the Plaza Vouliagmeni Hotel for the accomodation on the 28th and 29th of August. The hotel is located approximately 10 minutes on foot from
Divani Apollon, room rates double room:105 euros, single room: 90 euros.

[11 August] Important: There is now another hotel
recommended to those who have failed to get a firm booking at the Divani
and Amarilia: The name of the hotel is ARMONIA, tel. +30 210 8960105 website:
www.armonia.gr. Spacial price has been
agreed with the hotel at 90 EUR for a single room and 105 EUR for a double room.

The Armonia is only about two to three kilometers away from The Divani Hotel.
